Our Nurses
Leah Surridge
Leah has been with Bateau Bay Vets since 2002. At present, she is working principally as our receptionist.
She has one child, but because he or she hasn't been born yet, Leah has to work at the front desk to avoid anaesthetic gases which can be a health risk for mummies-in-process.
Leah is a Certificate IV trained vet nurse, and has had a lot of high work intensity experience with us. She has a particular weakness for Boxers as you can see from her photo with Dee Dee.
Melissa Mundey
Mel has been with us since 2004, and now is our principle anaesthesia and surgical preparation assisstant.
She is also a Certificate IV trained veterinary nurse.
Mel has an array of pets, from geriatric diabetic Staffies, to one eyed rabbits, with a lot of tansitional bottle fed kittens thanks to Cat Care.
